The Association Francaise de Normalisation (AFNOR) is a non-profit organization founded in 1926. Of its nearly 15,600 standards, more than 1,000 relate to metallurgy and are used widely. AFNOR is the French representative to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and to International Standards Organization (ISO).
